Cellogen Therapeutics partners with Neocell Biotech to deliver India’s first one-day CAR-T cell therapy
New Delhi/Hyderabad: Cellogen Therapeutics and Neocell Biotech have announced a strategic partnership to bring one-day CAR-T cell therapy to Indian patients, promising to slash treatment costs, complexity, and waiting time for blood cancer patients.
Under the agreement, Cellogen Therapeutics will license its proprietary lentiviral vector technology to Neocell Biotech, enabling the development of next-generation Fast CAR-T therapy that can be manufactured in a single day — compared to several weeks required by conventional methods.
The collaboration marks a major milestone for India’s biotech sector. Neocell Biotech will become the first company in the country to develop this ultra-rapid CAR-T manufacturing platform. The technology uses fully human Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) molecules, aimed at reducing immune reactions and improving patient safety.
Cellogen Therapeutics, based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has established one of India’s largest lentiviral vector manufacturing facilities with full regulatory approvals and in-house quality control. Neocell Biotech, headquartered in Hyderabad, brings deep expertise in bioprocess development, cGMP manufacturing, and regulatory affairs.
Dr Gaurav Kharya, Co-founder, Cellogen Therapeutics and a noted pediatric hemato-oncologist, says:
“As a clinician, I have seen patients lose precious time waiting for CAR-T cells to be manufactured. This partnership will change that reality by delivering treatment in a single day, making advanced therapy truly accessible and timely for Indian patients suffering from haematological malignancies.”

Dr Tanveer Ahmad, Co-founder, Cellogen Therapeutics and a renowned cell and gene therapy expert, adds, “From a research perspective, our lentiviral vector platform represents years of innovation. Combining it with Neocell’s manufacturing expertise will produce safer, fully human CAR-T cells at lower costs while maintaining the highest quality standards. This is a game-changer for cancer immunotherapy in India.”
Dr Jitendra Ambulge of Neocell Biotech says, “Becoming the first in India to develop Fast CAR-T reflects our commitment to innovation. Indian patients deserve access to the world’s most advanced therapies without long delays.”
CAR-T therapy has shown strong results in treating certain blood cancers, but high costs and lengthy manufacturing have limited access in India. This partnership aims to significantly improve affordability and timely treatment for patients with haematological malignancies.
CAR-T therapy is an advanced cancer treatment that uses a patient’s own immune cells to identify and destroy cancer cells with precision.
